Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, she came to New York to work in publishing and ended up as the creative force and initiative behind many high-profile PR programs, for established brands as well as startups.
Prior to founding her eponymous agency, Dorothy was President and cofounder of Stanton Crenshaw Communications, which she managed to build into a premier midsize agency after holding senior positions at large global firms.
Before CC, she was EVP and Managing Director at GCI Group, the public relations unit of Grey Advertising, and prior to Grey, she was with Edelman Public Relations Worldwide as Senior Vice President. But fancy titles at global agencies were ultimately not as satisfying as building her own agency.
Dorothy is an enthusiastic blogger on PR, reputation, and content marketing and frequent speaker on brand-building topics and marketing to women. She was named one of the public relations industry's 100 Most Powerful Women by PR Week.
