One of the few people born and raised in Atlanta, Ga. Both of my parents worked for computer companies so I grew up on learning techonology. My Uncle had me learnin how to use a computer at the 3 years old.
I attended Westlake High School's Math/Science Magnet program when I was in the 10th. I began to become very interested in engineering through the their courses that exposed us to it. Eventually I decided to join my school's robotics team which really ignited my interest in engineering.
During the time I was on my robotics team, I'd wished I was exposed to it when I was much younger. That's when I decided to make a robotics camp for 6th through 8th grade students. I created and dircted a Robotics camp hosted by my robotics team at my high school and it went successfully. Most of the kids who attended camp came to westlake and joined the robotics team or joined the Robotics team at their local High School.
Since that camp, I have had a passion for exposing kids to careers in technology. I came UGA for Electrical Engineering and joined the school's National Society of Black Engineers then ran for Pre-Collegiate Initiative. Now I plan on continuing to plan events, programs, or camps for kids to be exposed to engineering.
