Ana Isabel dos Reis-Couto

Volunteer, Business support, and Executive Assistant in Providence, RI

In her every day, empathy, kindness yet keeping strong, being proactive, listening to understand and not to respond, thinking critically and analytically, learning from her mistakes no matter how trivial or significant is important and one she adhere to. She believes that laughter and smiling makes one approachable and less heavy—that we are all fighting some sort of battle.

Ana Isabel is an avid volunteer, who is very involved in the community, and brings the message that if we can all make a difference, the world will be a little better. In addition to her involvement in the Portuguese community, she is involved with DORCAS International, Junior Achievement, and Families First of RI (to name a few).

Ana Isabel is mother of two adult children and speaks three languages—English, Portuguese (first language) and Spanish, (also conversational French and Italian). Ana Isabel enjoys foreign movies, documentaries, traveling, constant learning, history, anthropology, cycling and yoga, is a lover of exotic coffees and teas, cooking, sewing, decorating and organization, and interacting and being with children—the future of our society.
