Doug Brons

I was taught piano by my grandfather at the age of seven. My grandparents grew up in a musical family that spent many of their summers entertaining at resorts in Northern California and had a live radio show on KSRO in Santa Rosa, CA in the 40's. Johnny Bertino started me out on the standards....Tea for Two, Come to the Cabaret, Crazy, Lucky O'l Sun, and the like... As I became a teenager I developed my own style and fell in love with the music Michael McDonald and Toto. I began writing songs and fell in love with matching lyrics and music in a passionate package. I love interesting chord progressions, black gospel music, rock and roll, and rhythm and blues. I have performed with Silverwind, Denny Correll, Steve Archer, John Fischer, First Call, Jason Upton, and Rita Springer. Although I have lead hundreds of worship services my favorite thing is to perform my original songs and lay my heart out for the world to see.... being human, I believe that when it gets down to it, we all struggle with the same issues. I find that being transparent is a very freeing and healing thing... If you like good passionate, heart felt music you will love my new solo CD coming out 11/11/11.
