R. Douglas Grant

Doug co-founded Brandtrust with a simple mission: to bring the advances in the social sciences to the world of business research. Along the way, he helped build a thriving business that has changed the way businesses think about how customers think.

Over the years, Doug has worked closely with scores of talented psychologists, sociologists and others from the social sciences to uncover insights and inspire fresh thinking to address business challenges. It's a mindset that has driven success at a diverse range of world-class clients and has lead to consistently impressive growth.

As an innovator and a process improvement guy, Doug is always looking for the smartest thing to do while inspiring others to excel. This philosophy is in the very DNA of the company he helped create and is at the heart of why Brandtrust enjoys a unique position in the market.

At home, Doug is a runner, reader and unrepentent napper but is best known as an accomplished photographer. He also has a passion for teaching. He has taught courses at both the University of Chicago and Columbia College and has been a guest speaker at Northwestern's Medill School of Journalism (his alma mater).

Doug left Brandtrust in late 2013 to enjoy a year off on a "garden leave" and is now starting his new venture: inqui research.
