I took the StrenthsQuest exam this semester for EHE 1100. The exam shows you your top 5 strengths. One of my strengths was "Achiever". I believe this means that a person wants to be the best they can be in their field or life or whatever makes them happy. This does not mean that they must pursue the most prestigious career path, rather they want to excel in their career field, as a husband, or as a father. I agree with this strength the most because I believe it is true. I always want to do the best job I can. This fuels my academic, athletic, and personal life. I want to be the best I can be.
Letter to Myself
I also wrote a letter to myself. I wrote a letter to myself in the first few weeks of class that I could open when I graduated. This was cool because I was very stressed the first few weeks of classes. It will be nice to open it and see how far I've come.
Lessons of a First Year Buckeye
Finally, I wrote about my "Lessons of a First Year Buckeye". I wrote about all of the challenges I've faced and how I've overcame them. Doing that assignment made me realize how far I've come, and how much I've accomplished. I may revisit this assignment in the future to see how I've overcome some challenges. This assignment showed me how I've overcome challenges without even realizing it.
