Douglas Corbett

A health care executive with extensive leadership experience, Douglas Corbett most recently served as administrator of the Ford-Iroquois Public Health Department in Watseka, Illinois. In this role, Douglas Corbett oversaw a team of 40 people and managed more than 60 programs, shaping the overall strategies, budgets, and outreach efforts of the department.

Douglas Corbett’s specific accomplishments at the Ford-Iroquois Public Health Department include establishing an emergency planning committee, creating a communicative Web and social media presence, and designing a multimillion-dollar federal flood-grant project. Much of his work focused on wellness, both among the employees in the department and in the larger community. Thanks in part to his efforts, the department won the “Business of the Year” award in 2010.

A member of the Society for Public Health Education and the Illinois Association for Public Health Administrators, Corbett received his bachelor of arts in sociology/anthropology at Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, and spent several years as a hospitality manager before earning his master of public health at the University of Saint Louis.
