Douglas Ket Manary

For nearly two decades, Douglas Ket Manary has been involved in athletics and sports development programs throughout Texas and Arkansas. He played men’s basketball in his freshman and sophomore years at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, helping his team claim the 1993-94 Oklahoma Intercollegiate Conference championship and rank in the NAIA 1994 “Sweet 16.”

Douglas Manary later transferred to North Dakota State University and served as point guard for the men’s basketball team, which made it to the second round of the NCAA bracket for the 1994-95 and 1995-96 seasons. He remained on the team as a student assistant coach, helping the team make it to the second round of the NCAA bracket in the 1996-97 season and follow through with its fourth-consecutive 20-win season.

After graduating from North Dakota State University with his BS in physical education, Douglas Ket Manary returned to his home state of Texas to pursue his graduate degree in education at Prairie View A&M University. He served as an assistant coach for men’s basketball at several junior colleges throughout the region for three years, receiving his 2000. In 2001, he relocated to Arkansas, where he has taught and coached in the Springdale Public Schools system for over a decade.
