The first and only individual to achieve fellowship status in all three national sports medicine associations, Dr. Douglas Kleiner is a fellow with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the National Athletic Trainers Association. In recognition of his professional accomplishments, Dr. Douglas Kleiner has received accolades such as Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer and UNF College of Health Governor’s Service Award.

For more than 20 years, Dr. Kleiner has served as president and CEO of North Florida Sports Medicine in Jacksonville Beach, where he treats patients with sports-related injuries. Dr. Kleiner is also the founder and president of Tactical Medics International, which provides tactical medicine and logistical support to local law enforcement, as well as to federal agencies such as SWAT and the Department of Homeland Security.

A graduate of Auburn University, Dr. Kleiner holds a PhD in philosophy in health and human performance and applied exercise physiology. He earned a bachelor of arts in health education and a master of arts in exercise science from the University of South Florida.
