Douglas N Hornsby

Since 2002, Douglas N. Hornsby, MD, has served as president of Digital Radiology, Inc., a Florida-based company that provides teleradiology services across several states. He founded the company in 2002 while attending Harvard, Douglas N. Hornsby, MD, spent several years as a chairman in the Department of Radiology at South Shore Hospital in Miami Beach and is the current chairman at Douglas Gardens Hospital.

After attending medical school at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Dr. Hornsby completed an internship at the same institution, followed by a residency in diagnostic radiology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. He also completed a fellowship in radiology management and body imaging at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School.

A former combat medic in the United States Army, Dr. Hornsby received accolades including Bronze and Silver Stars, two Purple Hearts, and a Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry for valor. In recognition of his lifetime achievements within the field of radiology, he received a Gold Medal from the Florida Radiological Society.
