Douglas Rowell

Douglas Rowell serves as Chief Creative Officer and Executive Managing Partner for Mediatavern where he oversees innovative creative initiatives across the entire portfolio of company clients including Advertising Week, CamelBak, Chivas USA, Fox Television, Nintendo of America, Thomson Reuters, Panasonic, ShareThis, UnitedHealth Group and Yahoo! plus original properties including the expansion of Mediatavern franchises for broadcast, online, mobile and content development.

Prior to joining Mediatavern in 2007, Rowell served as a senior Creative Director for Agency.com (an Omnicom company) overseeing the internal creative studio as well as a number of leading client accounts including Discovery Networks, Choice Hotels, E*TRADE, Food Network, JP Morgan and Shutterfly. Specializing in digital strategy, animation and storytelling, he led and developed projects for global properties including "Shark Week", "Deadliest Catch", "Ace of Cakes", "Next Food Network Star" and UNICEF.

For Rowell, effective storytelling with a focus on education and social awareness whether for brands or entertainment is among his favorite endeavors. An accomplished creative strategist and producer, Rowell has helped develop several award winning campaigns, properties and initiatives over his 15+ years in the Advertising and Entertainment industries. Rowell has spoken at The Advertising Club, Advertising Week and judged for industry recognized programs including the Addy Awards. He also serves as an advisor to several education focused organizations including the groundbreaking social learning platform Funnelbrain, UNAM and the California Academic Decathlon.
