An award-winning documentarian, Douglas Vermeeren has released three films in the personal development field: The Opus, The Gratitude Experiment, and The Treasure Map. Each of these productions features a number of top thought leaders and has received significant critical acclaim. Douglas Vermeeren’s fourth documentary project, How Thoughts Become Things, recently concluded principal photography. He is currently beginning preproduction on his first narrative film, a zombie picture that should reach audiences by October of 2016.

In addition to his work as a filmmaker, Mr. Vermeeren serves as chief executive officer of High Profit Speaker, a Calgary, Canada-based organization that trains professional speakers who wish to become more profitable. He also holds membership in the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.

Under Douglas Vermeeren’s direction, High Profit Speaker raises funds for the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation every Christmas. He has also contributed to various initiatives of the Calgary Interfaith Food Bank, endeavoring both to collect food and to raise general awareness.
