Douglas Warren

Hello, I’m Douglas. And I live in Climax, NC with my wife Tonya. I am first and foremost a Christian and have served in prison ministry for 10 years when I lived in Vermont. I also play the guitar and for a short period of time was in church worship as worship leader. Sometimes you'll find me with a tambourine or a shofar in hand at my local church. My daughter and son in law live close by. We spend most Sunday afternoons together over a meal. With our 2 grandkids. (Do we have more grandkids coming Tim?)

I joined the USCG after High School and studied diesel mechanics. It was there that I fell in love with the sea. My hope is to spend more time near the ocean, soon.

After discharge, I worked a few different jobs, as a diesel mechanic, guns manufacturing for Sturm Ruger then landed at USPS. Was married at that point with 3 young children and went to night school for electronics while working as a custodian at USPS. I became an electronics technician where I served for 29 years. My last 5 years being the lead ET on the Flats Sequencing Sorter a 9 million dollar engineering marvel about the size of a football field. Until my retirement in Oct 2016.

I have always had a Stump Grinding business (www.stumpygrinding.com) on a part-time basis through most of my working life. Upon retirement, I took my 401k and bought a huge powerful machine. It increased business, I don't feel like I'm retired anymore. It keeps me busy pretty much full time.

I recently found a way to witness to all of my customers. I carry frankincense essential oil with me every day. I offer a sample to smell, which so far has never been turned down. This opens the door to tie the Wise Men's gifts to Jesus into a chance to witness. I would love to train up other businessmen to do the same across the globe.
