Douglas Zarkin

An industry expert in fashion and apparel marketing, Douglas Zarkin has led many successful marketing campaigns in recent years. Working with Victoria’s Secret, Douglas Zarkin was responsible for introducing the Pink brand to consumers. A cross-category brand including apparel, beauty products, and accessories, Pink became a $400 million success. Other triumphs aligned with Douglas Zarkin’s marketing prowess include the portable snack food business of General Mills, the Youth and Entertainment division of the Grey Global Group, Avon’s upscale women’s brand “mark,” and Warnaco Group Inc.’s $200 million Core Brands intimate apparel business.

With over 15 years of marketing experience, Douglas Zarkin has developed an excellent track record for stimulating business growth. Douglas Zarkin’s strategic approach to marketing has proven versatile, with successes in both revitalizing outdated merchandise and developing cutting-edge brands. Recognizing him as a formidable marketing professional, Brandweek recently honored Douglas Zarkin as the “Marketer of The Next Generation.” Avon Products, Inc. has also awarded Douglas Zarkin numerous honors, including the President’s Award for outstanding contribution to US business. Douglas Zarkin has also received an award for Best Executed Launch Strategy by Women’s Wear Daily’s Beauty Biz.

Douglas Zarkin was educated at The George Washington University and American University, where he earned his Marketing MBA in 1993. His career began with advertising agencies such as Grey Global Group Inc., Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide, and Ammirati Puris Lintas, Inc. Currently, Douglas Zarkin is the Vice President of Marketing for the intimate apparel divisions at Warnaco, overseeing top brands such as Warner’s Olga and Olga’s Christina and recently spearheading the Calvin Klein Generation Y Task Force. Douglas Zarkin is married to Sloan Jessica Stern and lives in New York City.
