Doug Strangfeld

Based in Englewood, CO, Doug Strangfeld delivers aviation charter, aircraft acquisition, and maintenance solutions as president of Aero Trans International and operations director of International Jet Aviation Services. With the latter firm, Doug Strangfeld oversees daily operations, serving the diverse needs of aircraft owners, pilots, and mechanics. Also maintaining line pilot duties for Learjet series aircraft, he communicates with the FAA on regulatory issues and handles necessary revisions to the company manual.

Mr. Strangfeld’s background includes serving from 1986 to 1995 as owner and operator of Delta Alpha Sierra, Inc. He oversaw the procurement, refurbishment, restoration, and sales of international aircraft and certified that aircraft, parts, and related products were airworthy. He also served on the Learjet Owner Operator Advisory Panel and earned the FAA Maintenance Technician’s “Gold Award” for three consecutive years. He began his career as airframe and power plant mechanic with Cessna Aircraft’s Wallace Division in Wichita, where he worked on test flights of 425 and 441 aircraft.

An outdoors enthusiast, Doug Strangfeld enjoys a variety of winter sports in the Englewood, CO, area. He also competes in mountain biking events through USA Cycling in his free time.
