Hey there, I’m Douglas Vigil. I’m a Realtor working at Catalyst Real Estate Professionals living in Stockton, California. I'm recently elected on San Joaquin County Board of Education Trustee Area 3, I base my platform continue involved in Local community service, and public advocacy. Also work as Real Estate Agent and Public Notary as part time, My passion ranges from being a local community volunteer, teaching for 20 years as a Basic Sign Language teacher in local elementary schools, public libraries, and churches. I have served on several; boards. Currently, I am serving on the Board of Director Vision Quest Adult Charter, Stockton-San Joaquin Lions Club as Chair of Marketing. Chairman of Peace Poster Contest from 4 different schools from SUSD, and Chairman of Students Speaker Contest for the scholarship for High School Students, I have been actively involved in different community events. I have served on the City of Stockton’s Civil Service Commission/Equal Employment Commission, and the City of Stockton Mayor's Task Force on Persons with Disabilities Committee and Cultural Heritage Board, Behavioral Health Board in San Joaquin County, and State Board of Steering Committee on Air Quality, I am a radio host on the Vigil Show on Saturday and Monday from 3 pm to 4 pm, where I interview local community leaders and nonprofit organizations inclusive with Sign Language for the Deaf Community on KXVS Radio. I am also interested in public advocacy for disability rights, anti-bully awareness, and art programs within the community.
