Andrea Doven has been described as the "woman who makes the trains run," and that description is actually quite apt given her profession. She has been working in (http://dovenandrea.wix.com/andreadoven ) the human resources industry for 25 years and has headed up projects as diverse as finding film technicians for Odin Films to creating her own web series on job interview tips. The one thing that defines Andrea, however, is her attention to detail and her ability to bring together many different jobs or people into a cohesive unitThe

Early Years

Born in New York City, Andrea Doven has always identified as a New Yorker but embraced her West Coast home upon arrival. She attended school at the prestigious performing arts program of SUNY Purchase. In fact, of more than 3,500 applicants for the school's program, she was one of 30 admitted. She worked hard and received her bachelor's degree in performing arts. Her parents, actor Robert Morse and dancer Carol D'Andrea, gave her a strong background in stage and performance art, so it was only natural that after college Andrea would move on to producing and running theater in upstate New York.

However, Andrea's talents were not limited to acting. She also ran one of the top ten (http://ask.fm/AndreaDoven) catering companies in New York City, refining and putting the use the management and organizational skills that would eventually be of paramount importance in her career in human resources.

Odin Films

Andrea soon moved into a pivotal role that was to change the course of her life. Her friend Tom Cruise needed someone who could manage the day-to-day operations and logistics of his company, Odin Films. Andrea took on the role, and for 19 years she provided logistical and organizational support for actors, artists, producers and others engaged in film making around the world.

Her job at Odin Films honed her creativity and problem-solving skills. It was here that she earned the title "woman who makes the trains run." She planned international travel, managed multiple simultaneous projects, established locations and venues for filming and other activities and handled the hiring and management of all personnel as well as the daily coordination of all business management and PR professionals.
