Dovile Botyriute

Sheffield, United Kingdom

As a graduate from Sheffield School of Architecture MArch course, I view architecture as a socio-technical system and take a people-centered design approach, which innovatively responds to ‘Live’ challenges, finds resilient solutions, and integrates aesthetic and technical requirements. My degree has taught me to act as a facilitator, be resourceful and to always aim for excellence.

Whilst working in practice I was fortunate enough to work on a number of schemes ranging from large scale housing developments to industrial projects in various stages of project development.

I was part of the team that designed and implemented ‘Doncaster Toolkit’ educational ‘Live’ Project, which won a BDP ‘Live’ Project Award in 2013. March dissertation called ‘Ecopolis – an investigation on sustainable neighborhood models for the future’ gave the opportunity to research the development of eco cities in Sweden and China and exhibit its design outcomes in Shanghai Biennale of Architecture and Contemporary Art 2013 and publish research outcomes in ‘Science’ Magazine.
