But as the time goes by the tuna industry declined and the neighborhood was disrupted by the time that the Interstate 5 was constructed, and the little italy suffered a massive economy breakdown not only in years but on decades. But in the year 1990, a number of business owners and residents teamed up with the Center City Development Corporation and has started planning revitalization that has become one the top ten Italian community in the united states.
Vibrant Living is represented in Little Italy for the reason that visitors and residents can enjoy city views, fine food, art, cultural festivals, and its Italian style condo living. Little Italy is the home of the authentic cultural rich urban neighborhood that has single-family homes, condominiums, townhome, and apartments. While the Indian Street is home to bustling fantastic restaurants, chic cafés, bars, art galleries and specialty shops. The Our Lady of the Rosary Church and Washington Elementary School remains as the important institution in the area of Little Italy.

A school day playground Amici Park is where many locals come play some sports including soccer and basketball they have a basketball court and a ball court inside the Park.
