It is a typical scenario you're sitting yourself down stairs watching the TV or reading a guide, and then you hear a noisy bag from upstairs. Startled, you run upstairs to see what is going on, and you see your kid's leg, arm or head sticking from the wall. After all the dust clears, you be sure that most people are alright, and the proper punishments are divvied out, it's time to repair the gaping hole that is left in your wall.

Now with respect to the size of the hole that is in the dc drywall installation. depends on how it will be fixed. If you have a tiny door handle size hole it's going to be easier to accomplish it one way (which ill explain later). But when you yourself have a bigger hole it might be easier to set up a sizable new little bit of drywall that runs from stud to another. I'll explain that also.

Now with an inferior hole First we need to cut fully out the fragments which are hanging throughout the place. We will do this with a drywall saw and an energy knife. Then once we've a great clean area to utilize, you want to take off about 1/2inch to 1 inch strip of paper off the drywall so that it looks like torn cardboard. Then you want to cut a bit of drywall that is slightly larger compared to hole that will be fixed. Then start to carve away at the dc painters of the piece before piece fits the opening and the paper is left. This piece is called a "patch hat ".

Now put drywall mud on the edges of the patch hat and place it in the hole. Then once set up apply a coat of mud within the patch, let dry. Once dry, chip off any chunks and sand smooth, and then mud once again. Allow that dry, and do the same thing. Do this before patch is nice and smooth and ready to be painted.
