David P. DeVito

David P. DeVito is a dedicated, fully engaged, hard-working leader whose organization, attention to detail, and creative vision and problem solving skills makes him an invaluable asset for any organization. David is the Director of the American Psychological Association’s (APA) Office on AIDS Professional Development Program. In this role, he collaborates, leads, and implements training opportunities for psychologists using distance learning and live workshops. This program is a partnership between APA and Educational Development Center (EDC), Inc. He previously served as the Training Director of the APA HIV Office for Psychology Education (HOPE) Program, where he managed a 5-year, $1.1 million budget. During his tenure he oversaw the training of more than 8,100 mental health practitioners and students trained in 372 training events.

He is co-author of the HOPE Program Training Resource Guide (2010) and author of The Glebe House (2004).

David holds a Masters degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in American Studies with a concentration in Historic Preservation from The George Washington University.
