My passion for working with nonprofits began as a counselor at a camp for kids diagnosed with cancer. I was in awe by what the kids were able to accomplish while battling the odds of survival.

From there I continued working with children as a Middle School Science teacher. I enjoyed working with "at risk" teens offering extra help/tutoring or just a place to talk. As the School Improvement Council Chair I was able to implement the Alcohol & Drug Awareness Committee. We often had former addicts and survivors come to speak with the kids.

Coming to Blackbaud was an easy transition. The excitement of getting to use my past experiences and energy with nonprofits has been amazing.

In my spare time I enjoy traveling, gardening and cooking my home grown ingredients with my wife Nichole.
