Hi Everyone,
My name is Daniel Pleacoff. I want to share with you somethings about me so you can better understand why I started this blog for social media and food. I started blogging about food 3 years ago when I started working for Appetude, an online food ordering and blogging site. There I fell in love with the 'foodies' world. I realized there are endless ways to prepare the same dish, with different prep time, spices, and recipes. The aesthetic of how visually appetizing and attractive a dish is lends to its distinguished appeal for me. This has inspired me to experiment with new foods, explore new restaurants, and find new ways to share my experiences with friends and foodies.
What makes me an authority for incorporating social media with food?
Great question! I will be the first to admit that I am no expert. I was thrown into the world of social media without any previous knowledge or experience when I took the job at Appetude. However, as the years went buy and the mistakes started accumulating, I began to see what worked and what didn't work. Social media is constantly changing, so the posts I may write about now, may not be relevant in the future. That being said, whatever platforms I choose to write about now, is not what should be focused on. It's the ideas about how to use them. Food blogs and images will always be relevant, so which ever platfrom is the next "big" thing, the ideas presented in this blog could and should still be applied.
I hope you enjoy reading this blog as much as I enjoy writing it. I may not always be right (though I hate to admit it)!, but everything I write is based on my experience in the food world.
