Danielle Prinz
As an aspiring television journalist, Danielle Prinz, currently studies telecommunications at the University of Florida. Her favorite place to be is WUFT'S newsroom. There you will catch her shadowing the 5 o'clock news show becoming as experienced as she can with the process of televising a quality news show. Although she dreams of one day being a news anchor and interview the world's most intriging individuals, Danielle currently enjoys reading/storytelling various news articles to the visually impaired through UF's Radio Reading Service. Ever since snagging an interview with former governor of Florida, Charlie Crist, Danielle has dreamed of a career where she could spend her days meeting new people everyday, learning their stories, and then sharing those stories with the world.
Being a member of the National Broadcasting Society, Danielle will be competing in the 2014 national competition after researching how television news affects the publics' political opinions. She has a keen interest in political news and has developed a blog called the Cultured Pearl to voice her opinions on various news articles that she reads throughout the week. Danielle also devots this blog to write about topics in entertainment and lifestyle to keep her readers updated not only on politics, but a wide array of information; hence the name "cultured".
This year Danielle wll become a member of the on air talent team through Chompics Producton at UF and will be a lead role in the second episode. This semester she will also be a cut-in producer for WUFT's newsshow so she can become as well-rounded in her field as much as possible. When Danielle isn't in the newsroom, you can catch her on a tennis court, in the gym, or practicing a passion of hers, dance.
