Well, originally I'm from Memphis, Tn -The Home of the Blues, Big M town, the Phizz, and a bunch of other names it's called, as well as being the Bar-B-Que capital of the good 'ol U.S. Of A.. I was bred, born, and raised there. Didn't know, or care that anywhere else existed. It was a great place to be raised, especially in E. Memphis, an area known as Parkway Village, (about a good rock throw from the Miss. State line). Those from Memphis will know the area. Being from there I feel I'm rich with heritage, and I have the typical southern drawl that comes from the region. I live in Houston now. That's Texas folks, which is practically a country in itself. It's the one state that you can start in the center, drive all day, and still be in Texas. It's no wonder that a traveler in Europe will answer Texas" instead of "United States" to the question, "Where are you from?". This is as far north as I've been (not counting the 6 months I once lived in the little town of Newport, Ark.) So you see, I'm 'bout as Southern as they come, and being as such, I love the outdoors. That's me enjoying my favorite thing to do.
I came here back in '82, pulling a U-Haul behind a ten year old Chevy, on a Friday night driving south on Hwy.59. Needless to say I wanted to tuck tail an run! I've gotten' use to it, and will say Houston's a good town ( town?), and is much like Memphis in many ways. One thing about Houston is... if you can't make here, you can't make it anywhere! So I've been here awhile. What surprised me first was that I rarely run across anyone with the typical Texan drawl so common in Hollywood. People would sometimes kid me about my drawl to which I'd reply, If it weren't for a few dumb, hick-sounding Tennesseans, Texas might not even be here! Now, I got me a little bit of ed-u-ma-cation and am interested in various things like science, psychology, philosophy, as well as a course or two in creative writing, thus my love for the computer, all of which leads to what this site is all about
