Dr. Alisha Barnes leads Tails Animal Chiropractic Care, a distinguished team of animal chiropractors serving Boulder, Windsor & Fort Collins, Colorado.

A graduate of Colorado State University with a bachelor's degree in zoology, Dr. Barnes continued her academic journey by attaining a Chiropractic Doctorate from the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. Subsequently, she enhanced her expertise in animal chiropractic through the intensive and renowned program at Parker University in Dallas, Texas. This curriculum provided her with profound insights into veterinary conditions, canine and equine anatomy, and chiropractic treatments tailored for animals.

Recognizing her prowess, the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA), the foremost national animal chiropractic organization, certified Dr. Barnes. AVCA members exemplify the pinnacle of knowledge and compassionate care in the field.

Driven by personal experience, Dr. Barnes recalls, "My dear adopted dog, Luna, was my inspiration. As she aged, her hips weakened and her back grew stiff. Witnessing her struggle daily, my heart ached. I yearned to see her lively and playful again.

To my amazement, chiropractic care was the magic touch. With adjustments and massages, Luna rediscovered her youthful spirit, frequently seeking me out for relief. Every time she does, it reaffirms my passion for this work.

My journey with animals has been filled with lessons on kindness, compassion, acceptance, and friendship. It's these lessons that motivate me to give back. Merging my two great loves – animals and chiropractic care – feels like destiny.

It's an indescribable joy to know that I can ease their discomfort, enhance their well-being, and ultimately, make their lives more joyful. I'm truly blessed.
