Dr. Marlow Hernandez is a physician-executive with more than 15 years of experience in value-based care. He combines clinical practice with healthcare leadership, focusing on building systems that improve outcomes for large patient populations across the United States. His work reflects a commitment to measurable results and broader access to care.

His professional motto is clear: “We do not turn patients away.” Guided by this belief, he has created organizations that integrate primary care, specialty services, and advanced analytics to deliver proactive and personalized treatment. Hernandez approaches data as a direct clinical tool, using it to identify risk early and improve long-term health outcomes, particularly for underserved communities.

Born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and raised in the Miami area, he immigrated to the United States in 1993. As a child, he saw the effects of fragmented healthcare through his grandmother’s struggle with complicated diabetes. At five years old, he promised he would become a physician and help her. That early experience shaped his determination to improve healthcare systems for entire populations. He earned a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience from the University of Miami and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Marlow completed training at Cleveland Clinic Florida and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous & Lymphatic Medicine, and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP).

His DO, MPH, and MBA training led him to found a healthcare organization that expanded from one clinic into a $3 billion revenue platform serving 400,000 members. Under his leadership, it became the fastest-growing primary care network in the U.S. for two consecutive years, according to Inc. magazine, and achieved a 60% sustained reduction in patient mortality during the COVID-19 pandemic. These outcomes were published in the American Journal of Managed Care (AJMC). The organization also maintained a Five-Star quality rating for five straight years. It grew from $0 to nearly $1.0 billion in revenue within two years under the inaugural CMS direct contracting entity (now ACO REACH).

In 2023, Marlow Hernandez chose to step away from the company. In June 2024, it reorganized as a private entity and continues serving patients in Florida. He later co-founded a senior-focused healthcare organization in Nevada, including locations on Tropicana Ave in Las Vegas and in North Las Vegas. There, he implemented a 48-Hour Guarantee and helped develop a proprietary platform that predicts 30-day hospitalization risk with over 90% accuracy.

He remains active in clinical care with unrestricted licenses in Florida and Nevada. His service includes charitable medical work, hurricane relief, frontline COVID-19 response, long-term faith-based contributions, published research, conference participation, and civic recognition. Throughout his career, Dr. Marlow Hernandez has remained committed to expanding access and improving healthcare delivery.
