Dr. Fabiola Desmont

Greetings!

My name is Dr. Desmont. I am the founder and director of LEAP—Training and Consulting Services, LLC, a consulting and training center that provides psychotherapy and consultation to organizations interested in professional and program development training. My private practice offers individual and group psychotherapy.

I am a trained Group Psychotherapist and have leveraged my educational and clinical background in many non-profit settings. I have dedicated my professional career to empowering others and fighting social injustice. My work has been recognized and featured on CNN’s Freedom Project documentary series. I have received many awards for my tireless efforts towards ethical social work practice and education and anti-oppressive practices.

My research interest includes the Black family and the impact of racial trauma, parenting practices, group dynamics in clinical practice, and supervising new mental health professionals and students.
