Over 25 years of policy, strategy, planning, programming and technical leadership at global, regional, national and sub-national levels as well as with public sector, bilateral donor programmes and multilateral organizations with focus on women's health and development. Field experience in Asia Pacific region, SAARC countries, National as well as State level in India. Currently serving in the United Nations International Civil Service (ICS) at the United Nations Population Fund Headquarters in New York as Chief at Director I level.

Academic qualifications include MD in Obstetrics & Gynecology and a Master’s in Health Policy, Planning and Financing given jointly by the London School of Economics & the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Received awards and merit scholarships including World Bank Joint Japan scholarship and British Council fellowship at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Leadership and Management certifications from Cranfield and Cornell universities and from American Management Association New York. UNFPA Certificate of Appreciation for service & contributions.
