Hayley Johnson

Dr Hayley Johnson Qualified with a MBBCH from the University of Witwatersand in 2004. After completing my community service at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital I worked in various clinical medical fields including Private Practice, Forensic Pathology and Psychiatry. For 18 months from 2012 I worked as a Medical advisor in the Psychiatry Division for Janssen Pharmaceautica after which I decided to return to clinical medicine and am currently working in the surgical field assisting various surgeons throughout the Johannesburg area.

Through both my experiences as a clinician as well as my time in industry I have noticed that there is a gap in sound disease entity training material available. The product training is usually trained very well but there tends to be a gap in solid disease area material and training. As a medical practitioner I feel most comfortable speaking to representatives that understand the fundamentals of their disease area of the product that they are discussing this leads to a far more beneficial meeting and also adds a lot of credibility to the representative and product. I have taken this opportunity and want to, on a consultancy basis start to develop disease specific training modules according to the needs of the specific companies
