Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan
Neurosurgeon Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan functions as a partner with the Neurological Consultants of Washington, a group of six physicians with extensive neurosurgery experience. The surgeons combine their experience to treat a full range of neurosurgical conditions, including malignant and benign brain tumors, acoustic neuromas, aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations, spinal degenerative diseases and spinal tumors. Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan maintains interests in cranial and spinal neurosurgical disorders. She uses the latest technologies, like Gamma Knife radiosurgery, to treat skull base tumors, complex spinal disorders, pituitary tumors, and cerebrovascular disease.
Prior to practicing with the Neurological Consultants of Washington, Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan functioned as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She returned to Seattle in 2002 to practice at Swedish Medical Center and she joined Neurosurgical Consultants of Washington in 2004. Dr. Srinivasan maintains professional affiliations with a number of organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the North American Spine Society.
Dr. Jayashree Srinivasan began her undergraduate education at Columbia University in New York City. After earning a Bachelor of Arts, she enrolled in Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons in pursuit of her Doctor of Medicine, which she earned in 1990. Dr Srinivasan then completed a surgical internship in Ann Arbor Michigan, before moving to Seattle to complete her residency at the University of Washington. She also spent a year at Atkinson Morley's Hospital in London and did a fellowship in cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Washington before embarking on her professional career.
