Dr. Jeong Heon

Dr. Jeong is proudly from South Korea But lived and spent all his life in the United State. He is 57 Years Old, Was born in 1967 in South Korea. He is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon from Loma Linda University Health specializing in the treatment of hip and knee arthritis. Dr. Jeong goal is to understand the needs of each patient to keep them active and healthy. He performs minimally invasive, robotic, partial, and total hip and knee replacement surgery.

Dr. Jeong received his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and minor in Bioethics with Honors from UCLA. As a part of the Medical Scholars Program, he attended the George Washington University at UCLA where he received his M.D. During medical school, Dr. Jeong received the Smookler, Folding, and Kareti scholarships, and was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society. graduation from the United States Army Academy. I also hold a Master degree in Business Administration and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from George Washington University In the United States.

Dr. Jeong then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the world-renowned UC Davis. During residency, he received numerous awards including the Byank Service Leadership Award and Resident Researcher of the Year. Following residency, Dr. Jeong was selected for the Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at UC Davis where he trained with experts in the latest joint reconstruction techniques including complex revision surgery.

Dr. Jeong is very involved in the academic community. He is currently working as a contract surgeon for various top health and humanitarian organizations. He has also presented award-winning research at international conferences and volunteered internationally to help provide total joint replacement surgery for underserved patients. As a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Dr. Jeong ensures he stays on top of the latest information and treatment options for patients in his care.

When Dr. Jeong is not carrying out contracts for NGOs or teaching resident physicians at Loma Linda University Health, you can usually find him enjoying nature and outdoor activities like camping, spending time traveling with family, reading and researching, doing Yoga, going for hikes, or working in the yard.
