Prof. Dr. John Stephen Kayode is a distinguished Nigerian academic, geoscientist, and environmental researcher recognized for his contributions to climate-smart research, environmental sustainability, and geophysical sciences. As a faculty member in the Department of Physics at Federal University Lokoja, he has made significant impacts through teaching, research, mentorship, and professional service. His research interests include environmental geophysics, climate change, hydrogeophysics, air pollution monitoring, remote sensing, and sustainable resource management. As a Fellow of the Institute for Climate Smart Research and Policy Advocacy, he promotes evidence-based policies and innovative solutions for addressing environmental challenges such as climate change, food insecurity, desertification, and ecological degradation. Prof. Kayode has authored numerous scholarly publications, supervised students, and participated in national and international collaborations. His work continues to advance scientific knowledge, climate resilience, sustainable development, and environmental stewardship across Nigeria and Africa.
