About Dr. Scott

Dr. Marvell Scott comes from a varied degree of broadcasting professionalism and medical experience. He earned his medical degree at the Wright State School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He has always held a keen interest in sports, so it was no surprise that he decided to focus on sports medicine as a specialization.

After his coursework, Dr. Scott finished his residency in Mount Sinai Cabrini Medical Center. Scott's hard work and dedication during his residence helped him earn the esteemed Robert Wood Johnson fellowship from the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey (UMDNJ).

While treating professional and amateur athletes, Dr. Scott continued gaining an impressive amount of experience and practical knowledge related to sports medicine. He realized that truly effective treatment must include a broad range of services and help athletes not only in injury treatment, but injury prevention as well. With his skills and experience, Dr. Scott founded Performance Health.

The Performance Health Advantage

Performance Health staffs a team of qualified, experienced specialists in multiple fields, including orthopedics, chiropractors, massage therapists, nutritionists, acupuncturists, and personal trainers. This broad focus allows injured patients to receive precise and effective treatment.

As Dr. Scott and his team tell their patients, injury treatment is only a portion of what Performance Health provides. Another critical component of any athletic or training program is to take the necessary steps to prevent future or recurring injuries. The team works with patients to develop nutrition and exercise plans that will assist in preventing future injuries and health problems.
