Specializing in clinical, forensic, and neuropsychology, Dr. Naftali G. Berrill serves as Executive Director of the New York Center for Neuropsychology & Forensic Behavioral Science (NY Forensic), headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. After establishing the forensic consulting practice almost 30 years ago, he opened other New York offices in Manhattan and Great Neck. Clinicians at his forensic practice provide diagnostic and treatment services to social service agencies, courts, attorneys and individuals. Dr. Berrill supervises his staff and provides a wide range of clinical and forensic services which include evaluations focusing on criminal, civil, family court/matrimonial and immigration issues.
Since 1990, Dr. Berrill has been an adjunct assistant professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York in the Graduate Forensic Psychology program. He has also been on faculty at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University in the Bronx and the University of Maryland Medical School.
Dr. N.G. Berrill earned his bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and master’s degree in clinical psychology from Long Island University in Brooklyn. He completed graduate studies in organizational psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University. In addition, he obtained his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, where he received an NIMH clinical psychology fellowship. , He completed his APA-approved clinical psychology internship at Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital at Ellicott City, Maryland, and received a post-doctoral certificate in clinical neuropsychology from NRH/Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC.
