Dr. Obaid Saqer Busit acquired his undergraduate degree for Law from the UAE University in 1985, his MA in Comparative Law from the University of San Diego in the USA in 1986, and his PhD in Commercial Arbitration from Durham University in England in 1991. In 1992 Dr. Busit acquired his legal licence in the UAE and began to practise law and his law firm Busit Advocates & Legal Consultants.His doctorate, however, did not mark the end of his academic success. He has been author to a large number of articles appearing in many international legal journals, mostly in Arabic, and has lectured at the School of Law at the UAE University.
