Dr. Robert Guarino
Breast Pathologist Physician & Medical Educator in New York, New York
I'm Dr. Robert Guarino, a physician and medical educator specializing in breast pathology. My career has focused on understanding breast disease through careful diagnostic work, continued study, research, and collaboration with other medical specialists.
I completed advanced fellowship training in surgical pathology and breast pathology at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Over the years, I have also contributed to medical research and professional presentations and have taught pathology to medical students and resident physicians.
I believe being a specialist means never becoming too comfortable with what you already know. Medicine continues to evolve, so I make a point of staying current with breast pathology literature and continuing medical education. I also value mentorship and the lessons that experienced physicians can pass on to the next generation.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy reading, particularly classic literature, as well as golf, saltwater fishing, fitness, and European football. I am also a longtime Inter Milan supporter and co-founder of Nerazzurri New York.
Above all, I believe medical expertise is most valuable when it is used in service to others.
