Sridhar Kolluru

Dr. Sridhar is a developmental professional in India working towards translating poverty in to prosperity. Dr.Sri has done his graduation from Osmania University and completed post-graduation in the field of Marine Science with a specialisation on Marine Geology from Andhra University, Waltair, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. He attained his Ph.D. in the area of 'Integrated Water Resource Management, using Spatial Information Technologies' from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. Being a socio-technologist, he handled many developmental projects for good social cause and contributed in his own way to enrich the knowledge and skills of the communities for their better living in the society. He had guided various development individuals by nurturing, mentoring and handholding them to become professionals in their own field/s. He is associated with a national level non-governmental organisation, APMAS as the Director - Livelihoods leading a team of professionals in promoting Sustainable Community-based Approaches for Livelihood Enhancement (SCALE) in a holistic, integrated and sustainable approach through providing financial and non-financial services. Dr. Sri has been engaged in various action-research initiatives at different capacities, levels of the development field. Dr. Sri is a professional in natural resource management (NRM) with a focus on water sector and tries to integrate different elements in to it to promote sustainable initiatives in bringing the balance between land-bio-mass-water in a given context. He has got more than 20 years of experience in this field and worked for different bi-lateral, international, national and local level projects. That way he is the person who thinks globally and acts locally. Dr. Sri tries to understand the context, subject in its deeper sense and tries to look at the problem from various angles and projects multi-faceted solutions. From his projected suggestions and solutions, he leaves the option of picking them up as relevant and contextual by an individual or an institution, but firm it up to resolute upon few to choose in an analytical way. Dr. Sri strongly believes on ABC - Attitude, Behavioural Change that makes any one to understand and get on to the board and lead the life together. He has more a philosophical, philanthropic and spiritual mind, thus, tries to fine-tune the individual, community and the institutions for a better and contributory society.
