Jersey City-based osteopathic specialist Dr. John Fritz presently holds a staff position as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Stratford, where he fulfills several teaching and lecturing responsibilities spanning a variety of medical subjects. His contributions at the university focus on instructing and helping train medical residents and interns. Alongside his teaching and academic work, Dr. John Fritz maintains a family practice in osteopathic medicine in Jersey City, where he provides a broad range of primary care and wellness services. He specializes in allergy and immunotherapy in addition to osteopathy.
Dr. Fritz began his medical career by earning a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine (UMDNJ-SOM). In addition to his professional contributions in the medical field, he has devoted significant time and resources to the Philippine Medical Association. Through the Association, he completed a 2002-2003 medical mission to the Philippines and Latin America, as well as several medical missions to remote Southeast Asian regions. Some of his volunteer work included assisting patients with chronic diseases and conditions requiring surgery.
Dr. John Fritz additionally contributes his time and expertise to his hometown's police and fire departments. Outside of his professional priorities, he enjoys scuba diving and traveling with his family to Disney World, as well as designing and maintaining numerous saltwater fish tanks and reefs. Dr. Fritz has also pursued an interest in ballroom dancing with his wife for more than 10 years. Other hobbies include cooking, studying history, and reading about new technology.
