Drake Sanderson

Student, Writer, and Filmmaker in Pickering, ON

My name is Drake and I'm a third-year Media Production student at X University.

I have a wide-range of talents and experiences, including audio and video production, graphic design, creative writing, and acting.

However, I am most passionate in filmmaking - with my main career trajectories being in directing and screenwriting. I have created a variety of short films/videos over my personal and academic life and would love to someday write and direct my very own feature film.

I have worked on a variety of projects, including my experimental short film, "How To Make a Sandwich" (in which I directed, wrote, shot, edited, and starred in - link down below), my sketch-comedy script, "Pete's Exotic Pups" (which was nominated for 'Best Narrative Script/Written Project' at the 43rd Annual TARA Awards), and I also composed the signature theme for the X University podcast, "Bounced" (available on Spotify and Apple Music).

I am currently volunteering as a Film Critic for the CJRU 1280AM show, "Movie Mixtape", where I provide 3-5 minute audio-based reviews for the latest films releasing that year.

I also enjoy sketching and have experience in guitar and piano playing.
