Dr. Andrew Kim came to Australia when he was 16 years old. His immediate achievements included an Associate of Music, with High Distinction in piano, (A MUS A) from Sydney Conservatorium, Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB) and first place in the state of New South Wales in 3 Units Music in the higher School Certificate.
He chose Medicine as a career. Dr Kim gained his bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (1997) M.B.B.S from the University of New South Wales.
Dr. Andrew Kim graduated as Master of Medicine (2004) and PhD (2008) from the Department of Physiology, School of Medicine from Chung Ang University, in Seoul, South Korea.
Dr. Kim has studied genetic hair research and methodology at the prestigious Kyungpook National University Hospital (KNUH). From September 2008, he has been a visiting professor/lecturer at KNUH. He actively participates at international conferences worldwide, including regular attendance at hair restoration workshops in USA.
He became a member of the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery (ACCS) in 2010 and a fellow of Korean College of Cosmetic Surgery (KCCS) in 2011.
Dr. Kim has established his main clinics in Sydney and Melbourne.
His personal talents in music, which he originally intended to follow as a career, have contributed to his sense of artistry in his surgical career. He accepts nothing less than the most aesthetic result!
He is happily married with two sons and a daughter.
