Dr. Ariel Rad

I am a board-certified facial plastic surgeon with a career built on precision, evidence-based practice, and a deep respect for anatomy. After completing my residency at Johns Hopkins, I co-founded SHERBER+RAD in Washington, D.C. with my wife, Dr Noëlle Sherber. We set out to create an integrated practice where dermatology, facial surgery, and scientifically grounded skincare work together to support natural, long-term results.

Over the course of more than two decades, I have performed over 3,000 facelifts using refined deep-plane and endoscopic techniques. My early work in microvascular reconstructive surgery shaped how I think about structure, function, and beauty. I learned that you cannot force a result — you reveal it through thoughtful planning and respect for the tissue.

I have always believed that honesty and safety come before anything else. I routinely turn patients away when a request does not serve their wellbeing, and all of my surgeries take place in hospital-based settings. I avoid trends that lack scientific grounding and remain focused on approaches that stand the test of time.

Today, I continue to advocate for higher standards in aesthetic medicine, promoting board-certified training, ethical decision-making, and patient-centred care as the foundation of responsible surgical practice.
