"Kandeel founded and chairs Fanarah Development, LLC. Ayman Kandeel is a successful economist and serial entrepreneur.

He engineered and managed AK's $680 million sale to Inertia Developments in November 2018 as founder and CEO of Borak Capital Holding, a Cairo-based boutique investment bank. Most AKREM investors made over 300 percent on this deal.

In 2015, Dr. Kandeel founded Fanarah Developments, LLC, the first attempt to create an integrated destination along Egypt's Mediterranean coastline. The project was renamed Jefaira in 2016 and is now the largest Mediterranean-front project in the world.

To name a few, Dr. Kandeel co-founded and co-managed Borak Capital Holding, Arab African International Securities, and Pi Capital Inc. He has helped companies in the technology, real estate, entertainment, and finance sectors raise significant capital.

Dr. Kandeel founded AK Comics in 2001, with over forty titles in English, Arabic, Greek, and Chinese. AK Comics imagined a Middle East free of conflict by creating Muslim, Jewish, and Christian superheroes. To protect an imaginary parallel Middle Eastern from conspiracies aimed at disrupting supposed futuristic peace is the three heroes' universe. He has been interviewed by the BBC, NPR, CNN, Al Jazeera, NBC, and John Stewart's Daily Show, among others, and has met many well-known politicians, some of whom he still keeps in touch with.

Dr. Kandeel is passionate about advertising. Confounded Bonus Advertising in 1995, which JWT later acquired. JWT Cairo is now Egypt's top advertising agency. He owns a large stake in Advision, one of Egypt's most famous below-the-line ad firms.
A graduate of the American University in Cairo, the University of Southern California, and the University of California at Santa Barbara, Dr. Kandeel has a distinguished academic career. He taught at Cairo University from 2003 to 2009. He taught at USC and Cal State Long Beach. Dr. Kandeel retired from academics in April 2011 to focus on his businesses in Egypt and the USA.

Dr. Kandeel currently serves on the boards of Arab African International Securities, Space SaMo, Pacific Agencies and Contractors, Al Forsan Holding, and Borak Capital Holding."
