Dr. Dennise Bates

My husband and I are the founders of BATES` Pregnancy and Family Counseling Center (The BATES` Center) and BATES` Counseling Solutions. Bates is our last name but God put His stamp on it and BATES’ stands for (Believing Affirming Teaching Equipping Supporting). I’m a proud mom of three children, two grandsons and twenty eight (and counting) grandchildren through the Pregnancy Center. Ministry started out for my many years ago when I was not thinking of ministry. God had given me a gift and passion to connect with people especially those that were hurting and broken. 12 plus years of my life has been counseling in many different areas such as: Crisis, Grief, Marriage, Premarital, Individual/Mentoring Counseling and in those years I have seen broken teenagers, pregnant and non -pregnant, frustrated parents, confused couples and angry individuals all needing to healed and restored. I hold a Bachelors of Business Administration in Business Management, a Masters’ in Ministry. I’m a License Professional Christian Counselor (LPCC), a Certified Marriage Counselor (CCMC) a Certified as a Pregnancy Center Director through Southwest Seminary and The Heidi Group, a Licensed Counselor (AMLC) through NACCBC and a CAMI (Certified Anger Management Instructor). I was awarded a Masters of Certification in Continuing Studies and Biblical Directionism through Masters Divinity Graduate School. Attended Waguespack Seminar in Essential Ethics for Christian Counselors, authorized by the Texas State Board of Social Workers Examiners and was an e-mentor for the ICOULDBE agency where I mentored five youth from across the country. My endless passion for people and the restoration of the family unit was the motivation for pursing and completing my studies and earned my Doctoral Degree Counseling and a Doctor of Divinity and finally a Doctoral in Psychology. I share all of the training and education not to brag or boast on myself but to brag on my God. Without Him none of it would be possible. There is nothing like the favor of God and since I’ve been on this journey He has allowed my path to cross with some of His most anointed, gifted women and men and one of those gifted and anointed men is my Spiritual Father and Mentor, The Founder of the National Association of Christ-Based Counselors, Dr. Steven B.
