Martin Beckinsale

Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management at DMU. PhD, Masters and undergraduate dissertation tutor. Module Leader for Business Reasearch Issues and Analysis; eBusiness at undergraduate and postgraduate level and final year Dissertations. Creative Business Models MSc module will be led by myself in 2015.

Publications: Succesfully published in the following 3* Academic Journals - International Journal of Human Resource Management; International Small Business Journal (ISBJ); Environment & Planning C: Government and Policy; Technology Analysis and Strategic Management. Also published in Electronic Markets - The International Journal on Networked Business; and International Journal of E-Adoption

Research Focus: Currently HEIF funded, researching diverse business support issues and limitations. Have also researched Black Ethnic Minority Businesses funded by the ESRC Business Placement Fellows Scheme. Current research objectives include: to develop the business support capacity for under represented and diverse small firms; to increase the eProcurement and ICT readiness of diverse SMEs; and focus on new business support structures in light of RDAs and Business Link closures.

Supervision: Currently supervising three PhD students; succesfully supervised one MPhil; and have supervised ten successful MSc dissertations.

Associated Bodies: Member of the ESRC Peer Review College and Technological Entrepreneurship track chair for ISBE (Institute of Small Business and Entrepreneurship). I currently peer review academic articles for ISBJ and the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behaviour & Research. External examiner for the EBIN Programme at Lancaster University.
