Dr. Bruno Azevedo received his DDS from Gama Filho University in Brazil in 2000. Upon graduating he completed a 2 year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at APCD in Bauru, Sao Paulo. In 2004, he managed the first dental imaging lab in Latin America to employ the use of a high resolution, small volume Cone Beam Computer Tomography in his hometown, Brasilia. Seeking a more in-depth understanding of 3D imaging, Dr. Azevedo became a preceptor in 2005 at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, in the Department of Dental Diagnostic Science. Then in 2006, he was accepted into UTHSCSA’s Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology Residency Program. He finished his residency in 2008 and received his Master’s Degree in Dental Diagnostic Science in 2009. Bruno became a member of the prestigious American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Radiology in 2010. He has presented at over 50 national and international scientific meetings including Brazil, USA, Mexico, Australia, Japan, China and Twain; and has published in a number of national and international dental journals about dental 3D technology. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine in Pomona-California and a consultant the field of Oral Maxillofacial Radiology.
