Dr. Carl Speer

A diplomate of the American Board of Gastroenterology, Dr. Carl Speer has practiced medicine at Gastroenterology Associates of Pensacola, P.A., for more than two decades. Dr. Speer has treated patients with different types of hepatitis, as well as primary biliary cirrhosis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Carl Speer has additionally treated patients suffering from cancer of the liver and colon. Aside from his duties at Gastroenterology Associates of Pensacola, he teaches aspiring doctors at the Florida State University School of Medicine, where he holds the title of assistant professor of clinical medicine.

Dr. Carl Speer finished his postsecondary work at Clemson University before returning to his hometown of New Orleans and earning his MD at the Tulane University Medical School. He then undertook an internship at Charlotte Memorial Hospital, followed by a residency at Tulane. He completed his training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he fulfilled a gastroenterology fellowship.
