I am an integrative doctor living and working in Nelson, New Zealand.

I practice integrative or functional medicine. In this practice we focus on wellness - continually asking the questions WHY ? and HOW ? Why does someone have a dis-ease and how do I help them come back to a state of balance and wellness?

Symptoms are there for a reason - they are a signpost or a guide to help us navigate back to balance and health.

eg if someone is anxious - I ask the questions why are they anxious ? Is there an imbalance in their biochemistry - eg is their blood sugar stable ? Do they have nutrient deficiencies ? What are the reasons for this imbalance ?

One of my special interests is helping people to sleep better. I created The Sleep Kit to give people that I worked with tools to help them to sleep better - part of that kit is a recorded bedtime story designed to soothe and calm the busy mind so that you can sleep a more restorative and deeper sleep.
