Dr. Charles Kamel

As founder of MySmile in Kanata, Ontario, Dr. Charles Kamel oversees a diversified general, restorative, and cosmetic dental practice, serving patients of all ages throughout the greater Ottawa metropolitan area. At the helm of MySmile.ca since 1995, Charles Kamel, D.D.S., has built his practice into a full-service provider of preventive and corrective dentistry to treat a wide range of conditions. Noted for his cosmetic work as well, Dr. Charles Kamel offers such popular procedures and technology as the CEREC (CERamic REConstruction) system for crowns, inlays and onlays; traditional braces alternative Invisalign; and whitening services to enhance a smile's natural brightness. In addition, he provides treatment options for periodontal disease, screens for oral cancer, performs root canals, and offers sedation dentistry for those with dental anxiety or other conditions that preclude traditional dentistry.

Over the years, Dr. Charles Kamel has completed a variety of continuing dental education coursework through leading North American dental training institutions, including the Seattle Institute of Advanced Dental Education (the Spear Institute), the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, and the Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In practice since 1993, Dr. Kamel launched his career at MySmile following a yearlong dental residency at the Montreal Children's Hospital and graduation from the McGill University Faculty of Dentistry. He earned both his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from McGill.

Active in the community as well, Dr. Charles Kamel has volunteered his time, energy, and resources to numerous local public health organizations, community centers, and churches in and around the Ottawa region. Charles Kamel, D.D.S., maintains affiliation with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Canadian Dental Association, and the Ottawa Dental Society.
