Dr. Constantino G. Mendieta

Dr. Constantino Mendieta was born in Los Angeles, California, and moved to Nicaragua, his parent’s homeland, at a very early age. Dr. Mendieta was first exposed to the art and science of cosmetic surgery while watching his uncle, a plastic surgeon, restore the disfigured faces of war victims. Amazed by his uncle’s surgical skills and ability to reconstruct faces to a near-normal appearance, Dr. Mendieta returned to the U.S. to complete his secondary education, all the while pursuing his dream of one day emulating the skill and achievements of the man he looked up to.

Along the way, Dr. Constantino Mendieta earned numerous academic awards and accolades, including recognition on the International Who’s Who list and Magna Cum Laud honors upon graduation. In addition to these multiple achievements, Dr. Mendieta entered and completed a demanding residency program in general surgery at the Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. Following the program, Dr. Mendieta continued his surgical training at the University of Miami, where he obtained specialties in both plastic surgery and general surgery.

After completing a rigorous undergraduate and medical education regimen, Dr. Mendieta quickly earned recognition for his wide-ranging plastic surgery knowledge and skillset. Equipped with such extensive knowledge and adept surgical skill, Dr. Constantino Mendieta enjoyed the distinct honor and opportunity to enhance his training under some of the best practitioners in the field of plastic surgery. This experience took him to destinations around the world, including Brazil, Scotland, and England. In England, Dr. Mendieta completed a fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons. Dr. Mendieta then returned to California, where he studied under one of the globe’s most respected facelift specialists and several internationally-renowned figures in the field.

Following his fellowship in facelift surgery, Dr. Mendieta relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he finished fellowships in reconstructive and aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery, as well as a number of facial surgery methods focused on restoration of the area surrounding the eye area.

Dr. Mendieta accomplished a great deal throughout his academic and medical career, but one of his finest achievements was his selection into and subsequent completion of a Harvard University aesthetic surgery fellowship. This fellowship is not only highly competitive, but also very exclusive.
